- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
For the pastry:
- 2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup water
For the filling:
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the onions and cook until they are translucent.

Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the chopped cilantro (if using).
For the pastry:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
Add the vegetable oil to the bowl and use your hands to rub it into the flour until the mixture is crumbly.
Gradually add the water to the bowl, mixing with your hands, until the mixture forms a smooth, pliable dough.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for a few minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
Here are some tips to make you cook Cheesecake Factory samosas chicken successfully:
- Keep the dough and filling covered with a damp cloth or plastic wrap to prevent them from drying out while assembling the samosas.
- Do not overfill the samosas or the dough will tear and the filling will spill out.
- Make sure the oil is heated to the correct temperature to ensure the samosas cook evenly and are crispy.
- Drain excess oil from the samosas by placing them on a paper towel-lined plate to prevent them from becoming greasy.
