Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, minced
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup water or chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Additional sliced green onions, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Coat the chicken pieces with the mixture.
  • Heat oil in a pan or wok over high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken pieces and cook until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add garlic, ginger, and green onions. Sauté until fragrant.
  • Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar to the pan. Stir well and bring to a boil.
  • Return the chicken to the pan and mix with the sauce until the chicken is coated.
  • Pour water or chicken broth into the pan and turn the heat down to a simmer. Cover the pan and let it cook for a few minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce has thickened.
  • Serve the Mar Far chicken hot, with sliced green onions and sesame seeds on top.
